How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off gas and disconnect power before removing burner caps or accessing wiring.
- Inspect electrode: Remove the burner cap and check the ceramic spark electrode for cracks or heavy deposits. Clean gently with a soft brush.
- Check wiring: From underneath, verify the electrode wire is firmly connected to the ignition module and not damaged or pinched.
- Test ignition switch: With power disconnected, inspect the microswitch on the affected burner’s control valve. If stuck or damaged, replace the ignition switch or valve assembly.
- Replace electrode: If the electrode is cracked or loose in its holder, replace it with the correct Candy spark electrode.
