Possible Causes
Disconnected NTC sensor on coil, Broken NTC leads, Faulty NTC sensor, Defective sensor input on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the hob from the mains before removing it from the worktop.
Technician procedure:
- Access the underside of the hob and locate the NTC temperature sensors clipped to each induction coil or heat sink.
- Check that the sensor for the affected zone is firmly attached and that its wiring connector is fully seated on the induction power module.
- Test the NTC with a multimeter: at room temperature it should show a resistance in the kΩ range and change smoothly when warmed.
- If the sensor is open circuit or intermittent when flexed, replace the NTC sensor harness.
- If the sensor tests OK, check continuity from the sensor plug to the control board and inspect the board for damaged input circuitry.
After replacing the sensor or board, clear the error by disconnecting power for 1–2 minutes and retesting.
