How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before servicing.
- Inspect broil element: Look for visible breaks or burn spots on the broil element at the top of the oven.
- Test resistance: Remove at least one wire from the element and measure resistance. Replace if open.
- Check wiring and thermostats: Inspect wiring to the broil element and test any inline thermostats for continuity.
- Control board: If the element and wiring are good, the broil relay on the EOC may be defective and require board replacement.
