Possible Causes
Shorted oven temperature sensor, Stuck bake or broil relay on EOC, Shorted wiring to heating element, Miswired replacement element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Immediate safety: If the oven is overheating, turn off the breaker immediately. Do not open the door if you see flames; keep it closed and cut power.
- Test temperature sensor: With power off, remove and test the oven sensor. At room temperature it should read ~1050–1100 Ω. Replace if out of range.
- Inspect elements: Check bake and broil elements for visible damage, cracks, or spots where the element has arced to the cavity.
- Check wiring: From the rear, inspect wires to the elements for melted insulation or shorts to chassis. Repair any damaged wiring with high-temp wire and proper connectors.
- Replace EOC if needed: If the sensor and wiring are good but the oven continues to overheat or F10 recurs, the EOC relays are likely stuck and the board must be replaced.
