Possible Causes
Failed user interface board, Communication failure between UI and power board, Loose harness connectors, Firmware fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing any panels.
- Power reset: Turn breaker OFF for 5–10 minutes, then ON. If F40 returns, continue.
- Check harness connections: Access the control area and inspect the wiring harness between the user interface (UI) board and the main power/control board. Reseat all connectors.
- Inspect for damage: Look for burnt spots, corrosion, or moisture on the UI and power boards.
- Replace faulty board: If connections are good and no external cause is found, replace the UI board first. If F40 persists, replace the main control/power board.
