Possible Causes
Weak or partially open bake element, One leg of supply voltage missing (L1 or L2), Faulty relay on EOC, Damaged wiring to element
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before testing voltage or elements. Live voltage testing should be done by qualified persons.
- Check both elements: During preheat, verify that both bake and broil elements glow (on electric models). If one does not, test and replace it.
- Verify supply voltage: Have a qualified person confirm 240 VAC across L1-L2 at the range terminal block. If only 120 VAC is present, a breaker or supply issue exists.
- Inspect wiring: Check for burnt or loose wires at the elements and EOC.
- Replace faulty components: Replace any failed elements or the EOC if its relays are not energizing properly.
