Possible Causes
Shorted temperature sensor, Sensor wiring shorted to chassis, Sensor wires pinched at rear panel, Faulty control board interpreting overtemperature
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing rear panels or wiring. Hot surfaces can cause burns.
- Allow cooling: Let the oven cool completely and then try to restart a simple bake cycle.
- Inspect sensor wiring: From the rear, check that the sensor wires are not crushed or touching sharp metal edges.
- Test sensor: If equipped, use a multimeter to measure sensor resistance at room temperature. A very low resistance (near 0 Ω) indicates a short; replace the sensor.
If a new sensor does not clear F1, the electronic control board may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
