Possible Causes
Loose wiring harness between touch control board and power module, Oxidised connectors, Faulty user interface (touch control) PCB, Faulty main power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the hob from the mains before any inspection. Internal access exposes live parts when powered.
- Power cycle: Isolate the hob for 10 minutes, then restore power. Many transient communication faults clear after a full reset.
- Check for moisture: Inspect around the control area for signs of liquid ingress from spills. If moisture is suspected, leave the hob disconnected for several hours to dry fully.
- Do not pry the glass: Removing the glass top without proper procedure can crack it. Internal checks should be done by a professional.
- If E05 returns: A Hoover technician should open the unit, reseat the wiring harness connectors, and test the touch control PCB and power module. Replace the faulty board as required.
