Possible Causes
Liquid or grease on touch panel, Objects resting on control area, Faulty touch sensor IC on control board, Glass misaligned over sensor pads
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the hob and isolate from the mains if you need to clean extensively.
- Remove objects: Ensure no pans, cloths, or utensils are resting on or near the control area.
- Clean the panel: With the hob cool, wipe the control area with a slightly damp soft cloth and mild detergent. Dry thoroughly with a lint‑free cloth.
- Allow to dry: If a large spill occurred, leave the hob powered off for several hours to allow moisture under the glass to evaporate.
- Power reset: Restore power and test the controls. Try locking/unlocking the child lock if available.
- If E06 persists: The touch control PCB or its calibration may be faulty. A Hoover technician can recalibrate or replace the touch control assembly.
