Possible Causes
Sensor reading too high due to shorted NTC, Cooling fan failure causing overheating, Faulty electronic oven control (EOC)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the cooker at the mains and allow the oven to cool fully.
- Check cooling: When the oven is running, you should hear the cavity cooling fan. If it is silent or very noisy, it may be failing.
- Inspect vents: Ensure front and rear ventilation slots are not blocked by foil, panels, or cabinets.
- Power reset: After cooling, restore power and test at a low temperature setting. If F1 reappears quickly, suspect the sensor or control board.
- Sensor test: As with F0, measure the sensor resistance. A very low resistance (near short) indicates a failed sensor.
- Replace faulty part: If the sensor is correct, the electronic oven control board may need replacement by a Hoover technician.
