Electric cooktop radiant element does not heat at all.

Warning: Disconnect power and allow the glass to cool completely before servicing.

• Indicator check: Turn the control knob; if the hot surface indicator never lights and the element stays cold, suspect the element or control.
• Access element: Remove the cooktop from the counter and lift the glass top to expose the elements.
• Inspect and test: Check the element for visible damage and test for continuity. Replace the element if open.
• Check switch/control: If the element tests good, the infinite switch (on knob models) or electronic control (on touch models) may be faulty and require replacement.
