How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Always shut off power at the service breaker before accessing internal components.
- Cycle power: Turn the breaker OFF for 5–10 minutes to fully discharge the control. Turn back ON and check if F1E1 reappears.
- Check wiring harness: Remove the rear control panel cover. Inspect the harness connectors to the control board for loose plugs, bent pins, or heat damage. Reseat all connectors firmly.
- Look for board damage: Examine the control board for burn marks, cracked solder joints, or moisture intrusion. If present, replacement is required.
- Replace control: If the error returns after reset and wiring checks, replace the electronic oven control with the OEM KitchenAid board specified for your model.
