Possible Causes
Failed convection fan motor, blocked fan blade, wiring issue to fan, failed control fan driver circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Disconnect power and ensure oven is cool before accessing the fan.
- Check for obstruction: Remove oven racks and rear interior panel (if removable) to inspect the convection fan. Clear any debris or foil blocking the blade.
- Spin test: With power off, spin the fan blade by hand. It should turn freely. If stiff or seized, replace the fan motor assembly.
- Inspect wiring: From the rear, check the fan motor harness and connector for damage or loose connections.
- Replace fan motor: If the motor is not running when commanded and wiring is good, replace the convection fan motor with the OEM KitchenAid part.
