Gas cooktop burner will not ignite; clicking is heard but no flame.

Possible Causes
Clogged burner ports, misaligned burner cap, weak spark at igniter, no gas flow to that burner
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn all burner knobs OFF before cleaning. Avoid using sharp objects on ports.
- Check burner cap: Ensure the burner cap is properly seated and centered on the base.
- Clean ports: Remove the cap and use a soft brush or toothpick to clear debris from burner ports. Do not enlarge the holes.
- Verify gas flow: Try lighting the burner with a long match. If it lights manually, the igniter may be weak or dirty.
- Clean igniter: Gently clean the igniter tip with a soft brush to remove grease.
- Replace igniter: If there is no spark at that burner while others spark, replace the surface burner igniter for that burner.
