Gas burner clicks (sparks) but flame does not appear or is very weak

Safety first: Turn the burner OFF and allow it to cool. Shut off gas supply before removing injectors.

User steps:

• Remove the burner cap and crown. Clean all gas ports with a soft brush and, if necessary, a wooden toothpick (never metal that can enlarge ports).
• Ensure the burner cap is correctly centered and seated when reassembled.
• Check that the flame appears blue and stable when lit; yellow, lifting, or very small flames indicate further issues.

Technician steps:

• Verify correct injector size for the gas type (natural gas vs LPG) according to the rating plate.
• Remove and inspect the injector for blockage; clean or replace as needed.
• Measure gas supply pressure at the inlet.
• Inspect the gas valve for internal blockage if only one burner is affected.
