Possible Causes
Incompatible cookware (non‑magnetic), Damaged induction coil, Faulty pan detection sensor circuit, Loose coil wiring to power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing internal components.
- Verify cookware: Use a flat‑bottomed, ferromagnetic pan (a magnet should stick firmly to the base). Ensure the pan size matches the zone size.
- Center the pan: Place the pan centrally on the marked cooking zone. Some Miele zones require full coverage for detection.
- Inspect coil connections: Remove the cooktop and access the underside. Check the induction coil wiring and connectors for looseness or burns.
- Coil continuity: Measure resistance of the suspect coil; an open circuit indicates a failed coil that must be replaced.
- Module check: If the coil is good, the pan detection circuit on the power module may be faulty, requiring module replacement.
