Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, Sensor wiring harness shorted to chassis, Moisture ingress in sensor connector, Faulty main control interpreting sensor signal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Isolate power at the breaker before testing continuity.
- Access sensor: Remove the rear panel or interior mounting screws to access the oven temperature sensor.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance at room temperature. A reading near 0 Ω indicates a short.
- Inspect harness: Follow the sensor wires to the control board. Look for crushed insulation or contact with sharp metal edges.
- Dry connectors: If there are signs of moisture (from steam cleaning or spills), dry the connector and harness thoroughly and allow several hours before retesting.
- Replace sensor or harness: If the sensor is shorted, replace it. If the harness is damaged, replace or repair with high‑temperature rated wire.
If F3 persists with a known‑good sensor and harness, the main control board may need replacement.
