Possible Causes
Non-induction pan used, Pan base too small, Warped or uneven pan base, Faulty pan detection sensor on induction coil
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure the hob surface is cool before handling pans. Do not use damaged cookware.
- Check pan compatibility: Use a magnet on the base of the pan. If it does not stick firmly, the pan is not suitable for induction and will trigger E1.
- Match pan to zone size: Ensure the pan base covers at least 60–70% of the marked cooking zone. Very small pans may not be detected.
- Check pan base flatness: Place the pan on a flat surface and see if it rocks. Warped pans can cause intermittent detection; replace if necessary.
- Clean the glass: Wipe the zone with a soft cloth and mild detergent to remove grease or residue that may interfere with detection.
- If E1 appears with all suitable pans: The pan detection circuit on the induction coil module may be faulty. Power off at the mains and arrange service.
