How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Ensure all zones are off and the glass is cool before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
- Remove all items: Take away cloths, utensils, or lids from the control area.
- Clean the panel: Wipe the touch area with a soft, dry cloth to remove moisture, grease, or spills. Dry thoroughly.
- Power cycle: Turn off the hob at the mains for 2–3 minutes, then restore power and test.
- Check for cracks: Inspect the glass over the control area. Cracks can affect sensor operation and require glass-top replacement.
- Persistent E8: Indicates a failing touch control PCB. Replacement of the control module is usually required.
