Possible Causes
Broken oven temperature sensor, Disconnected sensor harness, Damaged connector at control board, Cut or burnt sensor wiring
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the range at the cooker switch and allow the oven to cool fully before removing any panels.
- Locate the sensor: Inside the oven cavity, find the small metal probe (usually at the rear or top). Check it is firmly fixed and not physically damaged.
- Check wiring (rear access): Remove the rear panel of the cooker (with power isolated) and locate the two-wire harness from the sensor to the control board. Ensure connectors are fully seated and wires are not burnt.
- Test resistance (technician or skilled DIY): Disconnect the sensor and measure its resistance with a multimeter. Typical values are around 1000–1100 Ω at room temperature. An open circuit indicates failure.
- Replace sensor if faulty: Remove the mounting screws inside the oven, gently pull the sensor through, transfer the wiring, and refit. Do not overtighten screws into the enamel.
- If F0 persists with a new sensor: The electronic oven control (EOC) may be faulty and require replacement.
