Possible Causes
Shorted IGBT transistor on power board, Damaged induction coil, Internal wiring short between coil and module, Faulty current sensing circuit on power module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: The power module contains high‑voltage capacitors that can retain charge after disconnection. Only qualified persons should open the hob.
- Basic user checks:
- Remove all pans and wipe the glass surface clean and dry.
- Turn off the hob at the mains for at least 10 minutes to allow the electronics to discharge.
- Turn power back on and test each zone individually at low power.
- If E012 appears immediately or on a specific zone: This indicates an internal fault in the induction power module or coil wiring. Do not continue using the affected zone.
- Do not attempt DIY board repair: Component‑level repair (IGBTs, snubber circuits, current sensors) requires specialist tools and knowledge. Contact Neff service or a qualified appliance technician to test and replace the faulty power module or coil harness.
