Possible Causes
Blocked cooling air vents, Failed cooling fan motor, Fan wiring harness loose or damaged, Faulty fan control circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Switch off the appliance at the circuit breaker before inspecting vents or removing any panels.
- Check ventilation:
- Ensure there is adequate clearance under the hob as per Neff installation instructions.
- Remove any stored items from the cabinet under the hob that may block airflow.
- Vacuum dust and debris from the hob’s intake and exhaust vents (usually at the rear or underside).
- Listen for fan operation: When the hob is on, you should hear a low fan noise. If the fan is silent and E015 appears, the fan may have failed.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 10 minutes, then restore and test. If the fan still does not run, internal diagnosis is required.
- Internal repair (technician): A technician should test the cooling fan motor, check the fan connector on the main control board, and replace the faulty fan or PCB as needed.
