Possible Causes

Moisture on control panel, Objects covering touch keys, Faulty touch sensor glass module, Loose ribbon cable between touch panel and control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Do not pour water directly onto the control area. Avoid using the hob while the glass is wet.

  • Clean and dry the panel:
    • Turn off the hob.
    • Wipe the control area with a soft, dry cloth to remove moisture, spills, or grease.
    • Ensure no cookware, cloths, or utensils are resting on the control symbols.
  • Power reset: Switch off the hob at the mains for 5–10 minutes, then restore power and test the controls.
  • Check for physical damage: Inspect the glass over the control area for cracks or impact damage. If cracked, do not use the hob.
  • If E051 remains: The touch control module or its connection to the main PCB may be faulty. Replacement of the glass touch assembly or control board should be done by a qualified technician.
