Possible Causes
Overheated radiant element, Blocked ventilation, Faulty temperature limiter on element, Defective temperature sensor circuit on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Burn hazard: The glass and elements may be extremely hot. Allow to cool before touching.
- Allow cooling: Turn off the affected zone and let the cooktop cool completely.
- Check cookware: Avoid using oversized pans that cover multiple zones and trap heat.
- Ventilation: Ensure there is adequate airflow under the cooktop and that the cabinet is not sealed tightly around it.
- If F2 recurs quickly at low settings: The temperature limiter on the radiant element or the control board sensor circuit may be faulty. A technician should test and replace the defective part.
