Possible Causes
Child lock feature engaged, Accidental long press on lock key, Touch panel glitch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: 'L' is usually not a fault but an active safety feature.
- Unlock sequence: Press and hold the lock key (often a key symbol) for 4–5 seconds until the 'L' disappears. On some Neff models, you may need to press a combination (refer to user manual).
- Clean and dry: Ensure the control area is clean and dry; moisture can prevent proper unlocking.
- Power reset: If the lock will not clear, turn off power at the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore and try again.
- If still locked: The user interface PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
