Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the range OFF and unplug it from the wall outlet. If hard-wired, switch OFF the range breaker. Wait at least 60 seconds before touching any internal parts.
Basic checks:
- Wipe the glass touch panel with a soft, dry cloth to remove grease, sugar spills, or moisture. Do not spray cleaner directly on the panel; spray on cloth first.
- Leave power disconnected for 5–10 minutes to allow the control to reset. Restore power and test the keys.
- If the error appears only when the panel is wet or hot (after oven use), allow it to cool and dry completely, then test again.
Deeper inspection (for experienced DIYers):
- Remove power. Pull the range forward and remove the rear control panel cover (usually Phillips screws).
- Inspect the touch ribbon cable from the glass panel to the main PCB for corrosion, burnt spots, or loose seating. Reseat the connector firmly.
- Check for signs of liquid intrusion on the back of the touch panel and PCB. If corrosion or burn marks are present, the touch control panel or main PCB will likely need replacement.
When to call a technician: If the SE code returns immediately after reset, or multiple keys are dead, the touch panel membrane or main PCB is defective and should be replaced by a qualified technician.
