Possible Causes

Out-of-calibration temperature sensor, Failing oven sensor (NTC), Poor oven door seal causing heat loss, Control board temperature offset incorrect

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Use oven mitts when placing or removing thermometers; avoid contact with hot surfaces.

Verification:

  • Place an oven-safe thermometer in the center of the oven.
  • Preheat to 350°F and allow at least 20 minutes after preheat signal, then compare the reading.

If off by less than ~35°F:

  • Use the range's user menu to adjust the oven temperature offset (see user manual for calibration steps).

If off by more than ~35°F or fluctuating:

  • The oven temperature sensor may be faulty. With power OFF, access the sensor from inside the oven (usually two screws at rear wall), pull it forward, and test resistance with a multimeter. Replace if out of spec.
  • Inspect the door gasket for gaps or tears and replace if damaged.

Note: If sensor and gasket are good but temperature remains inaccurate, the control board may need replacement by a technician.
