Cooktop or range shows dE and controls are locked

User steps:

• Consult the Siemens user manual for your exact model to identify the child lock or key symbol button combination.
• Typically, press and hold the key symbol or a specific combination (e.g., "lock" for 4 seconds) until the dE or lock symbol disappears.
• If in demo mode, follow the manual instructions to exit demo (often a hidden key sequence while powering on).

No hardware replacement is required unless the touch panel does not respond to the unlock procedure.
