Possible Causes

Failed induction power module, Loose harness connection between user interface and power board, Overheated power board due to blocked cooling airflow

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels. Induction cooktops contain high-voltage components that can retain charge after power is removed. Do not touch any exposed terminals until capacitors have discharged.

Steps:

  • Power reset: Turn the cooktop off, switch the circuit breaker off for 5 minutes, then restore power. Try the affected zone again. If E01 returns, continue.
  • Check ventilation: Verify that the cooktop has proper clearance underneath and that cooling vents are not blocked by insulation, pans, or drawer contents. Clear any obstructions and test again.
  • Inspect wiring (qualified person): Remove the cooktop from the counter as per Sub-Zero/Wolf installation instructions. Remove the bottom cover. Inspect the harness from the user interface board to the induction power module for loose or burned connectors. Reseat all multi-pin connectors firmly.
  • Check for visible damage: Look for burn marks, swollen components, or cracked solder joints on the power module. If any damage is visible, the module should be replaced rather than repaired in the field.
  • Module replacement: If the error persists and wiring is intact, replace the affected induction power module with the correct OEM part for that zone. Transfer any thermal pads or heat spreaders as originally installed and ensure the module is firmly mounted to its heat sink.

When to stop: If you are not comfortable working around high-voltage electronics, or if multiple zones show the same error, contact an authorized Sub-Zero/Wolf service technician.
