Induction cooktop shows E08 and one or more zones pulse on and off or do not reach set power.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing internal components. High current circuits are present; do not bypass safety devices.
Steps:
- Reset and test: Turn off the breaker for 5 minutes, then restore power and test each zone individually at medium power. Note which zones trigger E08.
- Inspect wiring: Remove the cooktop and bottom cover. Locate the current transformers or shunt resistors on the power module. Check that their connectors are fully seated and that no wires are loose or burned.
- Check for overheating: Look for discoloration around current-sensing components on the power module. Overheating often indicates a failing module.
- Module replacement: If wiring is intact and the error is repeatable on the same zone(s), replace the affected induction power module. Ensure all mounting hardware and heat sinks are reinstalled correctly.
Note: Because current sensing is integral to safety and power control, do not attempt to modify or bypass these circuits.
