Steps:

• Clean burner ports: Remove the burner cap and head. Use a soft brush and a wooden toothpick to clear each port. Do not enlarge the holes.
• Reassemble correctly: Ensure the burner head is seated properly and the cap is centered and level.
• Check gas type: Verify the range/cooktop is configured for the correct gas (natural gas vs LP). If recently converted, confirm the correct Sub-Zero/Wolf conversion kit and orifices were installed.
• Adjust air shutter (if equipped): Access the burner air shutter (usually near the burner tube). With the burner lit, slightly open or close the shutter to achieve a stable blue flame with minimal yellow tipping.

Warning: If flames are excessively large, noisy, or lifting off the ports, shut off gas and have a qualified technician verify gas pressure and orifice sizing.
