Sub-Zero
Power Modulation / Control Algorithm Behavior
Induction cooktop zone cycles on and off and will not maintain a steady low simmer.

Possible Causes
Pan too small for zone, Poor pan contact with glass, Normal cycling behavior at low power
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use cookware appropriate for induction and the specific zone size.
Steps:
- Match pan to zone: Use a pan that closely matches the diameter of the cooking zone. Very small pans on large zones can cause aggressive cycling.
- Ensure flat contact: Verify the pan bottom is flat and clean. Warped pans can cause intermittent detection and power cycling.
- Use dedicated simmer settings: Many Sub-Zero/Wolf induction units have specific simmer or low-power settings designed to reduce cycling. Use these modes for delicate cooking.
Note: Some cycling is normal at low power as the control maintains temperature; this is not a defect unless it is extreme or causes boiling to stop completely.
