Possible Causes
Open or shorted induction coil, Failed IGBT or power transistor on module, Loose coil wiring, Burned connector at coil terminals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power. High voltages and stored energy are present in induction modules.
- Access underside: Remove the cooktop from the counter if necessary and remove the bottom cover to expose the coils and power modules.
- Inspect coil: Check the affected zone's induction coil for cracks, burn marks, or broken windings. Inspect the wiring from the coil to the power board.
- Check connectors: Tighten or replace any discolored or loose spade connectors at the coil and module.
- Module replacement: If the coil appears intact but E4 persists, replace the induction power module for that zone following the service manual.
