Possible Causes

Household power outage, Loose power cord connection, Tripped breaker, Voltage drop on supply line

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: If you smell burning or see sparks, leave the breaker off and contact an electrician.

  • Reset clock: Press CLEAR/OFF or CANCEL to clear PF, then reset the clock per the user manual.
  • Check supply: Verify the range's dedicated breaker is fully ON. For electric ranges, ensure both poles of the 240V breaker are engaged.
  • Inspect cord and outlet: With power off, pull the range out slightly and inspect the power cord and outlet for heat damage or loose connections. Tighten or replace as needed.
  • Monitor frequency: If PF appears frequently without known outages, have an electrician check the circuit for loose neutrals or low voltage.
