Possible Causes
Door switch not detecting closed door, Control lock enabled, Failed relay on control board, Open thermal fuse (some models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before testing continuity.
- Check control lock: Ensure the control panel is not in LOC/LOCK mode. Disable any child lock features.
- Door switch: Listen for a click when closing the oven door. Test the door switch for continuity when closed. Replace the oven door switch if it does not close electrically.
- Thermal fuse: Some Summit ranges include a thermal cutoff fuse in the oven circuit. Locate it (often on the rear panel) and test for continuity. Replace the thermal fuse if open and investigate causes of overheating.
- Control board: If safety devices are good, the main control may not be sending power to the heating circuits. Replace the electronic oven control board.
