Oven Temperature Calibration or Sensor Drift
Oven temperature is consistently too hot or too cold compared to the set temperature.

Possible Causes
Aged oven temperature sensor, Control calibration offset, Poor air circulation in oven, Door gasket leaks
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use an oven thermometer rated for high temperatures.
- Measure actual temperature: Place an oven thermometer in the center of the oven. Preheat to 350°F and allow 15–20 minutes. Compare the reading to the set temperature.
- Adjust calibration: Many Summit electronic controls allow temperature adjustment (e.g., ±35°F). Refer to your manual to enter calibration mode and adjust up or down based on your measurements.
- Check sensor: If the error is large or unstable, test the oven temperature sensor resistance at room temperature (~1080–1100 Ω). Replace if out of range.
- Door gasket: Inspect the door seal for gaps or tears that could cause heat loss. Replace the oven door gasket if damaged.
