Safety first: Isolate the cooker from mains power before removing any panels.

• Check basic settings: Ensure both the function selector and temperature knob are set correctly and that the timer (if present) is not in AUTO mode preventing operation.
• Inspect thermal cut-out: Locate the thermal cut-out on the rear or top of the oven. Test for continuity. Replace if open and not resettable.
• Test selector and thermostat: Using a wiring diagram, check continuity through the selector switch and thermostat when set to a heating function and temperature. Replace any component that does not pass power.
• Check live feed to elements: Confirm that live voltage reaches the elements when the oven is on (qualified persons only). If not, trace back to the failed component.
