Induction or ceramic hob controls are unresponsive or lock symbol appears with E07 on the display.

Safety first: Ensure the hob surface is cool before cleaning or touching the control area.

• Disable child lock: Refer to the Zanussi user manual for the specific model. Typically, press and hold the key symbol or a combination of keys (e.g. '+' and '-' or lock icon) for 3–5 seconds until the lock indicator disappears.
• Dry the surface: Wipe the control area with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove any moisture or spills. Some models will show an error and lock controls if liquid is detected.
• Power cycle: Turn off the hob at the mains for 1–2 minutes, then restore power and test the controls again.
• Inspect connections (advanced): With power disconnected, remove the hob and access the control PCB. Check the ribbon cable between the touch panel and the main board for damage or loose connections. Reseat connectors carefully.

Note: If the touch panel remains unresponsive after these steps, the touch control PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a professional.
