Possible Causes
Shorted NTC sensor, moisture inside sensor connector, pinched harness causing short to ground
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the appliance from mains power.
- Inspect sensor and connector: Remove the rear panel and locate the sensor connector. Check for moisture, corrosion, or carbon tracking. Dry and clean if necessary.
- Measure resistance: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance. A very low reading (near 0 Ω) indicates a shorted sensor; replace it.
- Check harness routing: Ensure the sensor wires are not pinched between panels or touching sharp metal edges. Re-route and secure with high-temperature cable ties if needed.
Note: If a new sensor does not resolve F4, the main control board input may be damaged.
