Electric oven shows F9 and may trip the household circuit breaker when heating is attempted.

Safety first: Disconnect the appliance from the mains. Do not repeatedly reset a tripping breaker without finding the cause.

• Visual inspection: Check the rear of the oven, elements, and wiring for signs of arcing, melted insulation, or moisture.
• Element insulation test (advanced): Using a megohmmeter (insulation tester), test each heating element between terminals and earth. Low insulation resistance indicates a faulty element that must be replaced.
• Drying: If moisture is suspected (after steam cleaning or flooding), leave the oven disconnected and door open for 24–48 hours to dry, then retest.
• Check mains filter: Inspect the mains interference filter for cracks or burn marks. Replace if damaged.
