Possible Causes
Defective magnetic door reed switch, Broken door switch wiring in hinge area, Misaligned door magnet, Faulty input circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before removing control panels or working near wiring.
E10 is related to the door open/closed detection circuit.
- Identify door sensor type: Candy refrigerators may use a mechanical plunger switch in the frame or a magnetic reed sensor behind the liner.
- Check operation: Press the mechanical switch or place a magnet near the sensor area and see if the interior light turns on/off (when briefly powered for testing).
- Inspect wiring: Look around the top hinge and control panel for pinched or broken wires.
- Replace faulty switch: If the switch does not change state or shows no continuity when pressed, replace it with the correct Candy door switch or reed sensor.
- PCB input check: If the switch and wiring are good, the main PCB input circuit may be defective and require board replacement.
