Failed water inlet valve coil, Blocked water filter or line, Faulty dispenser switch or PCB output, Frozen water line in door
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator and close the water supply valve before servicing.
E12 relates to the water dispensing system.
- Check water supply: Ensure the household water valve is open and the supply hose is not kinked.
- Inspect filter: If your Candy model has a water filter, replace it if it is older than 6 months or visibly clogged.
- Test water valve: Access the rear lower area and locate the water inlet valve. With power disconnected, measure coil resistance; an open coil indicates a bad valve.
- Check for frozen lines: Feel the door and dispenser area; if very cold, the line may be frozen. Defrost by leaving the door open (with fridge unplugged) or using gentle warm air.
- Replace faulty parts: Install a new Candy water inlet valve or dispenser switch as needed.
