Possible Causes

Out-of-range NTC sensor values, Incorrect sensor type fitted previously, Firmware calibration error, Wiring cross-connection between sensors

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before testing sensors or wiring.

E18 is a temperature reading/calibration error.

  • Verify sensors: Check that the correct Candy NTC sensors are installed in fridge, freezer, and evaporator positions. Mismatched sensors can cause range errors.
  • Measure resistances: At a known temperature (e.g., 20°C), measure each sensor and compare values. Replace any that are significantly out of expected range.
  • Check wiring: Ensure sensor harnesses are not swapped between connectors on the PCB.
  • Control reset: After corrections, unplug for 10 minutes, then reconnect to allow the PCB to reinitialize.
  • PCB replacement: If all sensors and wiring are correct, the control board calibration may be corrupted and require replacement.
