Safety: Unplug the Candy refrigerator before working at the rear. Beware of sharp edges and hot components.

• Listen for compressor: After plugging in, listen at the back. If you hear only a click or nothing at all, the compressor may not be starting.
• Check condenser fan: If the rear fan is not running when the unit calls for cooling, there may be a control or power issue.
• Inspect start device: Remove the plastic cover on the compressor terminals and pull off the start relay/overload. Look for burn marks or melted plastic.
• Test continuity: With a multimeter, check the overload protector and relay/PTC. Replace with Candy-approved parts if open or damaged.
• Compressor test: Measure resistance between compressor pins. If windings are open or shorted, the compressor is faulty and requires professional replacement.
• Control board: If the compressor and start device are good but never receive power, the main PCB may be defective and should be replaced by a technician.
