Possible Causes
Faulty refrigerator compartment NTC sensor, Stuck relay on main PCB keeping compressor on, Incorrect temperature setting or calibration, Air sensor displaced from correct position
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before accessing sensors or the control board.
- Check settings: Ensure the fridge temperature is not set to the coldest level. Adjust to a mid-range setting and monitor.
- Verify sensor placement: The fridge NTC should be in its original clip or housing, not hanging loose or touching the evaporator directly.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance of the fridge NTC at room temperature. Replace if readings are out of specification.
- Control board: If the sensor is good but the compressor never cycles off, the main PCB relay may be stuck closed. Replace the Candy main control board if confirmed.
