Possible Causes

Top emergency stop button engaged, Lift sensor stuck or contaminated, Chassis not fully seated on main body, Damaged lift sensor harness

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn the mower's main power switch OFF and remove the battery or disconnect the power connector before inspecting. Wear cut‑resistant gloves when working near blades.

  • Check emergency stop button: Ensure the red emergency stop button on the top cover is fully released. Press it down once and twist or pull (depending on model) to reset. Power the mower back on and see if E01 clears.
  • Inspect lift sensor area: Turn the mower upside down on a soft surface. Locate the lift sensor assembly near the front or center of the chassis (usually a spring‑loaded switch or Hall sensor). Remove grass, mud, or debris that may be preventing it from returning to its normal position.
  • Verify chassis seating: Make sure the upper cover and battery compartment are fully latched. Misaligned covers can keep the lift sensor slightly open.
  • Check wiring: With power OFF, inspect the lift sensor harness from the sensor to the main control board for pinched, cut, or loose wires. Reseat the connector on the main PCB.
  • Test: Place the mower on flat ground, ensure it is not lifted, turn power ON, and start a manual mow cycle. If E01 persists, the lift sensor assembly may need replacement.
