• Check ambient conditions: Avoid operating the mower in extreme heat or direct midday sun. Schedule mowing for early morning or evening.
• Inspect cooling vents: Clean all air inlets and outlets on the mower body. Remove grass clippings and dust with a soft brush or compressed air.
• Check for motor overload: Ensure the cutting deck and wheels are free of debris that could overload the motors and cause overheating.
• Verify temperature sensor placement: On some models, a thermistor is attached to the main board or motor housing. Confirm it is properly attached and not hanging loose.
• Restart after cooldown: Once cooled, power the mower back on and run a short test. If E12 appears quickly under normal conditions, a failing motor or temperature sensor is likely.
