Possible Causes

Failed Hall sensor in blade motor, Damaged blade motor feedback cable, Loose connector at main control board, Corrupted motor control firmware

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn OFF the main power, disconnect the battery, and wait for all parts to stop before accessing the cutting deck.

  • Inspect motor cable: Locate the multi‑core cable from the blade motor to the main PCB. Check for cuts, abrasions, or crushed sections. Reseat both ends of the connector.
  • Check for water ingress: Examine the motor connector and housing for signs of moisture or corrosion. Dry thoroughly and apply dielectric grease if recommended by Segway.
  • Spin blade disc by hand: Confirm the motor turns smoothly. A seized motor can damage the Hall sensors.
  • Firmware update: Use the Segway app to check for and install any available firmware updates that may address motor control issues.

If E13 persists, the blade motor assembly (including Hall sensors) typically must be replaced.
