Possible Causes
IMU module out of calibration, Loose IMU mounting screws, Strong magnetic interference near mower, Defective IMU sensor board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Power OFF the mower and disconnect the battery before opening the housing.
- Remove from interference: Move the mower away from large metal objects, underground pipes, or strong magnets. Avoid storing it near powerful speakers or motors.
- Run calibration: If supported, use the Segway app or onboard menu to perform an IMU or compass calibration. Place the mower on a level surface and follow on‑screen instructions.
- Inspect IMU mount: Locate the IMU board (often near the center of the main PCB or on a small daughterboard). Ensure it is firmly screwed down and not vibrating.
- Check connectors: Reseat any ribbon cables or connectors between the IMU and main board.
Persistent E14 after calibration and mechanical checks indicates a likely IMU failure requiring replacement.
