Possible Causes
Dust bin not fully inserted, Bin presence switch stuck, Magnet or sensor misaligned, Bin sensor wiring fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the robot before removing the dust bin.
- 1. Remove and reseat dust bin: Pull out the dust bin completely, then slide it back in firmly until it clicks. Ensure no debris is preventing full insertion.
- 2. Inspect bin contacts and tabs: Some Amazon Basics models use a small plastic tab or magnet on the bin to trigger a sensor. Check that this tab is not broken and that any metal contacts are clean.
- 3. Clean sensor area: Look inside the bin slot for a small switch or optical sensor. Gently clean around it with a dry cotton swab.
- 4. Test without debris: Empty the bin and reinstall it, then power ON and start a cleaning cycle.
- 5. If E11 persists: The dust bin presence switch or sensor on the internal sensor board may be defective or misaligned. Access requires opening the robot housing. Replacement of the sensor or the entire sensor board may be necessary.
